FREE IBM Event: Analytics in the Cloud Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST

Joint us for the FREE IBM event “Analytics in the Cloud”

Tuesday, November 18, 2014
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
IBM, 600 14th Street, NW - 2nd Floor, Washington, D.C.

ABSTRACT
The convergence of big data, analytics and cloud are having a profound impact on federal government missions from healthcare to defense to science.  Missions that already support a private or hybrid cloud environment can connect powerful analytics frameworks with both new and legacy operational data stores so that information-powered decision-making can be delivered anywhere, anytime, and on any device in the cloud.  Those missions that aren’t currently using cloud can now take advantage of the cloud to perform more powerful analytics over larger datasets at lower costs.

Maximizing the value in your data depends upon how quickly and efficiently data is gathered, processed, stored, and used to identify underlying trends and converted into actionable information at scale for better decision-making.   Join cloud and analytics experts to engage in a discussion about:
·    Cloudant – a database-as-a-service (DBaaS) that enables developers to easily and quickly create next generation mobile and web apps built on the cloud
·    Watson Analytics – a breakthrough natural language-based cognitive service that provides instant access to powerful predictive and visual analytics tools
The event will be co-hosted by Dr. Jane Snowdon, Chief Innovation Officer, IBM Federal, and Director of IBM’s Federal Cloud Innovation Center and Frank Stein, Director of IBM’s Analytics Solution Center.
